Also known as health points. When a player's HP goes to 0, he/she loses the game. When a creature's HP goes to 0, it is destroyed.
Mana is used to play cards. Each card has a mana value at the top-left corner indicating how much it costs to play.
Each player has a hand of cards. It cannot be seen by the opposing player. It can have a maximum of 10 cards.
A creature is a card with attack and HP. They can engage in combat with the opponent!
Both players have a Creature zone, each can have up to 5 creatures. To summon a 6th, you can replace one of the existing creatures.
A spell is a card that has an effect immediately. They can be used to turn the tides of battle, whether by dealing damage, giving creatures strength, weakening enemy creatures, or creating mass destruction!
An ambush is a card that can be set on your turn to activate on an opponent's turn. They can be used to surprise the opponent!
Both players have an Ambush zone, each can have up to 5 ambushes.
Each creature can have special mechanics associated with them.
The creature activates this effect when it is played onto the board.
The creature activates this effect after it deals damage to the opponent player.
The creature activates this effect when another creature is played onto the board.
The creature activates this effect when another creature is killed.
The creature attacks first before the defender strikes back.
The creature activates this effect when it is killed.
The creature can attack on the turn it is played onto the board.
The creature activates this effect when it receives damage.
The creature's attacks can only be blocked by another creature with Evasive.
When the attacker's attack is more than the defender's HP, the excess damages the defending player.
The creature cannot be targetted by effects.
Both players start the game with 20 HP, 0 Mana Crystals, and 3 cards in hand. One player randomly gets chosen to go first.
At the start of a player's turn, he/she permanently gains 1 mana crystal (max 10), has them refilled, and chooses 1 out of 3 cards to add to their hand.
The player then has 60 seconds to make their moves. This timer is displayed between the two players avatars.
You can play cards, like summon creatures, cast spells, and set up ambushes. This can be done by dragging the card from your hand onto the board, as long as you have enough mana to play them.
You can declare combat with your creatures by dragging them to the combat zone. When ready, press the OK button to declare combat. Your opponent now has 30 seconds to set up their defense.
When you are done, press the End Turn button to give the turn to the opponent.
You can react to opponent's actions with ambushes that you've set. You are given a 30 second opportunity to do this.
When your opponent declares combat, you can set up your defense by dragging your creatures into the combat zone. Creatures vertically aligned with each other will fight.
When your opponent ends turn, you can use set ambushes in response to their turn ending. Otherwise, ou can start your turn by pressing the Start Turn button.
